Not necessarily from dishonest people; from people who clearly just do not have experience. People who make recommendations that do not make sense. Sure, they seem to know how a battery works, but running a battery reconditioning business goes way beyond that kind of knowledge.
Anybody who tells you that you can recondition batteries with a conventional battery charger is misleading you. It just does not work that way. Anybody who has experience in battery reconditioning as a business will confirm that.
